Regular seeds are considered the most traditional route for growing marijuana and are generally recommended for intermediate to experienced growers. When Cannabis seeds are classified as ‘regular’ it means that the seeds, when germinated, can produce either male or female plants. Although it may be expected that a batch of regular seeds would have an even male-to-female ratio, the sex of cannabis plants cannot be determined with certainty until they begin to flower. There is no guarantee on the ratio of male-to-female seeds per pack.
When the flowering stage starts, the male cannabis plants will start to pollinate the females, which will lead to the female plants producing seeds instead of buds. If the female cannabis plants are not pollinated there will be no seeds in the buds and the THC potency will be higher.
